Music from Things ............. Les Cook
Hello
I am new to creating sampled instruments but I have been watching many videos from Christian Henson, Dave Hilowitz, Stephen Tallamy and Nicolas Bras over the last few years.
The journey has been long as I come from the world of analogue mixing desks and multi-track tape machines many years ago, so I have had to learn digital audio workstations and a whole new world of computer technology. This has taken a little longer at the age of 67.
My first virtual instrument is the Cymbalum created for Decent Sampler from a home made physical instrument.

Tubular bells
This instrument is an experiment in creating hanging tubes like in a wind chime but using 15mm copper plumbing pipe. I limited myself to one 3m length of tube to create the instrument. Six Tubes were cut and hung to create a simple set of tubular bells for people to try.

The Gankogui
The Gankogui, it is like a cowbell but from Ghana, Togoi and Benin three neighbouring countries in west Africa.
