George Bloomfield
George Bloomfield is a composer, producer and multi-instrumentalist writing music for TV, film, ads and anything else I am asked! I have a degree in Audio Engineering BSc, and Music Production MA, and enjoy building my own instruments, originally physically and now with sample instruments too. I've scored various features/docs and write lots of production music too.
I also release my own indie/jazz/funk music that is backed by BBC Introducing, drawing from a wide range of influences and recognisable for its signature live brass, string and vocal arrangements combined with a modern band setup. I gig this live with my 7 piece band plus guests. Amongst more corporate commissions, I am a recipient of the 'Next Gen' Youth Music fund for a film/music hybrid documentary collaboration, for which I am composing and co-directing. I am also working with a creative company to make an immersive music/sound design and live dance performance that will tour the UK festival circuit this summer.
