All Too Familiar Sound From University
As a former percussionist turned producer/composer I'm always so nostalgic for Marimba as a sound/texture. As a snob and matter of personal taste, I find the yarn mallet selection a little harder than I prefer, but in some cases, thats exactly whats needed, when most mallet libraries ignore the choice all together and opt for the over-puffy, or rubber insulated sound. There doesn't at least at present seem to be a library that serves the extreme diversity of the instrument, Spitfire no surprise seems closest and for that reason, I'm so grateful to have this very useful sample set ready to go! Sounds great and makes me miss those late night practice room sessions trying to memorize whatever Keiko Abe chart I was probably procrastinating.
