Abstraction Mage’s Reviews
Love it
I basically love everything about this instrument, the sound, the different modes to choose from (vintage sounds like an epiano, really cool), the effects, just everything about this library is so damn inspiring.
Interesting for sure
I've never seen a sampled instrument with such a cryptic UI, but it's quite fun trying to figure out what all of the knobs and buttons do. I'd assume the knob in the middle is a dry/wet knob for the FX, right? Anyway, one more question: The description mentions that there are three different modes, but how can I actually switch between them?
Sounds good, but the samples don't loop
I really like the sound of this library and would definitely consider using it if it weren't because the samples don't loop, meaning a note held for longer than a few seconds will go silent after some time. I therefore can't write long, massive chords that grow and evolve over multiple bars without re-hitting all the keys every once in a while. Sadly this is a real deal-breaker for me.
Apart from that I'd also like to support the idea of a release knob in this library's UI: How long released notes decay is a key factor in how a choir library feels and how it can be used in an arrangement, and so I'd like to adapt the release time of this choir to what I have in mind (it's a little too short for my taste).
If this otherwise great library would loop its samples and maybe also have a release knob, it would most certainly be among my favorite virtual choirs, but this way I sadly have to give it a pass.
