Versatile synth instrument
I like the DX7 bass sound! It can be used as a sub sonic bass. Very simple and easy to use synth.
I have no idea where this will lead us...
...but I have a definite feeling it will be a place both wonderful and strange The background that is included in the description is perfect, although I'm confident I would have picked up the Twin Peaks vibe in any case. The TP Strings 1 and Brass instruments really jumped out. I have a Twin Peaks inspired track that I now want to revisit / remix to incorporate this library.
Beyond the Twin Peaks
When it comes to creating a tribute instrument, it takes a lot of effort to replicate what you listen to. You can't be fully objective - at some point your character will jump in and will probably take over.
You will find 8 different patches, but I'm mostly impressed by the Guitar patch and how the artist decided to create it. It gives me a fresh new look, and most importantly, it makes me more creative. There is some kind of noise though over some samples, for example in lower samples of the Strings 1 patch. The pan in that patch is also mostly panned left by default, but you can reset it easily.
In general, this is a very nice bunch of instruments that will likely make you more creative.
Great and usable throwback sounds!
There are some great throwback synth and guitar sounds in this library. They are very playable, and fit into mixes really nicely. They're generally well recorded with minimal noise. I'm sure these will find their way into many mixes because of their flexibility!
Julian's best work...
This is, in my opinion, Julian's best sample library. I really like the variety of patches included and the electric piano was particularly enjoyable to use. It sounds like there might be a little noise in some of the samples, but it's not beyond what a little clever eq-ing won't fix. this library is a useful and comprehensive toolkit of various synthesized instruments with a hint of the 70s and 80s. Definitely worth a download! Great work!
