The story

Hello this is the Gankogui ver1.0

My Name is Les Cook from Maidstone in Kent England

This is my third Decent Sampler instruments.

I hope someone can use it and I would love to see and hear the results.

I was on a visit to Canterbury in Kent with my daughter who took me into The Beaney House of Art & Knowledge.

in one of the rooms was this instrument The Gankogui, it is like a cowbell but from Ghana, Togoi and Benin three neighbouring countries in west Africa.

So, I could not resist the temptation to try it and make a recording.

The Gankogui was recorded using an iPhone 12 and the Rode reporter app.
Sample editing and tuning in Reaper.
Coding of the Decent sampler instrument was done with Sublime text.

It is an amazingly simple instrument with only 2 samples and 2 round robins.

Thank you for having a look and I look forward to any constructive comments.

Best wishes
