The story
Every once in a while it’s nice to do something simple – so as this is my FIRST attempt to create a sample pack in DECENT SAMPLER, the source is a simple child’s toy block. The result is “Rob’s Simple Toy GLOCK” – no effects – just the simple raw sound of a toy instrument that I’ve had with me for over 45 years. I’ve used it on many recordings over those years and in spite of having tried a bunch of LOGIC effects while working on this package, I came back to the beautiful simplicity that has endeared the sound to me all these years. I hope you will find it useful and that you can give it “credit” in your next blockbuster movie score ;-

A crunchy little glock
I absolutely love the reverb/echo at the tail end of the notes. It's not pristine, but it gives it character. Especially with a little bit of saturation, this thing gets raunchy
Nicely recorded "toy"
It's wonderful when something that is merely deemed a "toy" can be used for musical purposes like this. I think the sample is recorded very well. I'm wondering if it would have some more character with some round robins or a few extra notes sampled and stretched further. Otherwise, it lives up to its name. It's simple and you have a lovely toy glockenspiel instantly available for whatever project you're working on.
A roomy glocken
No, this is not a toy gun, it's a glockenspiel, DUH! It's a cute little glock that is based off of just one sample, so you can use it pretty much everywhere. The sample has something of an echo on it, which makes it interesting, but might not be the smooth and clean glock that many might first look for.
