The story
Rainbow Drums contains three drums I sampled in my son’s school music room. The administration was kind enough to let me have access to the room. I quickly sampled as many instruments as I could over a couple of evenings.
Most of the drums have 3-4 round robins and 4 velocity layers. The recordings were done with a single SM-57.

Really useful Orchestral Drums
These Drums are great for scoring. They offer pretty good dynamics and round robins as well. They sound really deep and boomy down at the low end and really nice in the high ens too. They remind me of the drums in albion one a little bit. You can add reverb to make these even more cinematic which would be a good movie in trailer or epic scoring but theyre really versatile and could also be used dry.
Useful drum samples...
These are great for when you're in a pinch and need some more dry drum samples with character.
Nice tuned drum sounds
This bundle features 3 really nicely sampled drum sounds that are tuned across the keyboard. They seem very well made, very versatile and dynamic, and really fun to play in general. The round robins are a very nice touch since they make them more realistic to the ear, though sometimes my ear caught some some minor texture differences that wouldn't match the "playstyle", but it's really not a big deal.
I think that an "original" patch with all the original samples from both 3 drums would be a great addition instead of having just 3 tuned patches across the keyboard.
Pretty great sounding ethnic drums
Pretty great sounding ethnic drums, and the metal drum is really unique. Some of the drums have tonal elements to them, which make them candidates for elements to double the bass. The multiple velocity layers and round robins make them very musical and very playable. the only real question now is: what drums where those?
