The story
My good friend, a musician and sound engineer from Krakow, has an old piano in his studio. This piano is completely out of tune but it sounds amazing, I decided to rip some samples and make a sample library out of it. It is possible to play only RT (hammers).

Exactly what I was looking for
Very inspirational and haunting. Amazing sound and character. Could use some longer notes for those droney fans
Pleasantly Jangled Piano Sound
The story shared about this instrument is right! This is an out of tune piano that nevertheless has a charm about it.
The recording quality is very good. I hear no extraneous background noise, and while wearing headphones to play, I feel like I'm right in front of the actual instrument.
I do find that I prefer the "RT" sound of the hammers and other mechanics to be turned down at 25% or lower (I don't understand the label of "RT", but fiddling around, it became clear what it does). The filter knob can be used to create warm, almost felt piano-like tones, but I found that the filter control itself didn't seem to make a noticeable difference in the tone until I got below about the 20% mark. I also feel like the labels for the UI controls would be better placed below the associated knob, rather than above it.
I feel like some notes have velocity layers while others do not, which for my style of playing was not a particular problem, but something to be aware of.
Once I got over these quirks, I found the instrument to be actually quite musical, with a surprising amount of dexterity for an "old out-of-tune piano".
Shame about the cuts
The instrument sounds beautiful but every note cuts off suddenly after 2 or 3 seconds, rendering the whole thing useless, for me at least.
No slow moody scores for this one.Unexpected
I geniunely wasn't sure what I was downloading to begin with - the description make it sound like some kind of discordant beast with a horror vibe, but the "out of tuneness" isn't as pronounced as you might expect and it makes it really quite sweet to play.
As an aside, the notes could do with being a bit longer (either through digital timstretching the samples or with some looping) as they do cut off sooner than one might like.
Nice ambiance
With longer samples it would have been near perfect but the cut is somehow abrupt. 2 or 3 seconds of decay more.
A version 2 soon?
