The story

On one rainy evening, after finishing my college classes, I walked back to the parking garage where my trusty 2014 Honda Odyssey minivan was parked. I got in the car and started the engine, eager to get home. I then backed out of the parking lot ready to leave, when suddenly I heard a high pitched squeal that echoed throughout the room. I stopped and realized that noise came from my tires when I hit the breaks. That was when inspiration suddenly struck me, hearing the natural reverberation of the squealing sound. Quickly, I got out of my van, and put my phone down on the floor of the parking garage and tried to recreate that sound I heard. The recording I made that night are the sounds produced in this sample library. I was able to fine tune and sample the squeals heard throughout the recording and created a four octave keyboard. I then repeated this and took clips of interesting drones that I heard and created three additional layers to the sample library. To further enhance the raw sound of the samples, I then added stereo delay and reverb to give more space and ambience. The result of this process came my newest sample library, “Murky Roads”. The name was inspired by the cold and wet evening drive I had home that night, which led me to make this pack by a happy accident. I hope this pack can be used as a source of your inspiration for your future creations, just as the wet and murky roads inspired me!
