I have made this sample pack firstly by crafting one 'real' shakuhachi in the course of studying classical Chinese way of crafting it. I was pleased by the result and how it sounded, so I got a wish to make an SFZ instrument of it too. Why SFZ? Because it is easily used both in Windows and Linux (the OSs I use inclusively), with no additional tweaks and tricks. It is very simple and basic SFZ and is one of my first ventures in this field of codding. It was really exciting for me hearing the very first sounds of it in a DAW. I didn't think the sound will be so faithfully transmitted into a computer instrument. After learning this, I think I am hooked, getting an impulse to sample all and everything and put an ikebana opcodes around it.
