The story
I built this hammered dulcimer a few years ago from plans I got from harpkit.com. I never got good at playing it. When I learned about Decent Sampler, I decided I needed to sample it, then I could finally make music from my H.D.

It's a simple sample pack with just one velocity layer so the sample library is pretty small. I recorded the samples using a audio-technica AT-3035 mic into a Scarlett 4x4 preamp. I used Reaper to record the samples.

It's a beautiful sample library. Natural, warm recordings of an instrument made with love.
It's a very usable and uplifting collection of samples. It's ripe for use in scoring for some cinematic Celtic odyssey. This instrument deserved to be sampled and immortalized in this way.
