The story
Imagine my delight at finding a Marxophone “in good condition” for sale on the very first day of searching for only fifty-seven dollars! A week later when it arrived, I realized quickly exactly why everyone else had passed on this instrument. I had just bought an instrument in really bad condition. I had a decision to make: either return it, or accept a big project. Fortunately, I have a lot of patience and a well-equipped wood shop. For something different, I sampled this Marxophone post restoration through various chains of pedals in my collection. In addition to the dry sounds Kontakt only, there are 22 sounds processed through pedals for Kontakt and EXS.

Absolute stunning!
Nothing to say........... a masterpiece.
Massive size, massive prize
Meticulous and fun -- I don't usually associate these things in my mind but that's exactly what happened here. My go to picks are usually always the dry sounds, here the MASTER and Hammers patches are fantastic. All the combination of effects are really awesome too, though I must say I almost have option paralysis trying to decide which to use, it's easier for me to pick my favorite dry patches and just go ham in the DAW. They sound great though and this library has no business being this good, thanks again Sam.
Very nice quality with analog flavor
I really love the library...! Amazing quality, nicely recorded samples. It has such a nice analog and warm acoustic sound, and with hammers you can get such a dynamic texture!
Wow
Ok first of all..I love this instrument. I really never even heard what a Marxophone was and how it sounds like..and I tried to play this and immediately I felt "magic" I don't know..the character , the sound , the really detailed samples , the huge variation this instrument can have..really gorgeous! Without a doubt one of my favourite patch is the Single Strings. Thank you very much for letting me explore this instrument and discover it too , thanks for the wonderful work you have done mr Sam Ecoff :)
However one thing I want to really have in this instrument is just a simple adsr control and some kind of modulation fx would be cool too to have
A professional library.
It bakes my noodle that something of this quality is free. First of the "master" sound set is outstanding. First class sampling and mapping and very playable with no nasty surprises. And the round robbins... Then there's are no less than 28 variations with some absolute gems. I know some have commented that they would prefer a GUI but honestly sometimes I prefer having stuff separate. Each patch is exactly as Sam envisaged and clearly an awful lot of work and thought has gone into this. Every one is a different and interesting take on the original sound and can easily be combined or edited. Annoys me I can't give it 5 stars for the GUI.
