The story
Hi everyone, Alessandro here. I’m a musician, drummer, teacher involved in many bands (past and present). I also work as a record/mix engineer and as a session drummer. The idea of capturing the sound of my instruments (drums and other gear) deals with a real need: I think that when you’re using drum samples (it’s not a common practice in my case but sometimes helps) would be better to use the same sounds as the instruments recorded. The Gretsch Catalina Ash is my go-to drumset cause its incredible versatility considering that it’s a very economic kit. I can guarantee it has a unique sound if you use the right skins and tune them correctly. So these are essentially my sounds, recorded in my studio.
In the preset you can find 3 knobs:
– mic (close mic)
– room (room mics)
– reverb
Wide variety of mics used for the recording: Takstar, Lewitt, Blue, Samson, Marantz.
Skins: Remo Emperor coated (batter on toms and Snare), Remo Ambassador clear (resonant side on toms), Remo Power Stroke 3 coated (kick, batter).

What's there sounds great! But...
...where are the hihats?
There are most definitely hh-.wav and hh_.wav files in the samples folder, but they are not referenced in the .dspreset file.
Consequently, they don't work when played...
What's an easy fix for this? Thanks!
