The story

This is my Grandpa’s piano, a 1933 Steinway Model L that’s lived in my family for nearly 100 years. As a kid, I played this piano every time I visited my grandparents, but now it lives at my parent’s house in Michigan. And I do not.

I traveled home with my small diaphragm microphones one trip to capture its sound and share it with anybody who’s interested.

  • One of the best piano sounds I have ever heard!

Thank you for this great gift. I have rarely heard a piano sounding that good as soon as I started playing it in my DAW. I highly recommend it to all who need a great piano sound.
