The story

Diddley plucks is a one string cigar box guitar better known as a Diddley Bow. Diddley is a custom build by Tom Burton over at Chatsworth Guitars, an independent guitar company based in Los Angeles. We recorded each note with a DARK MATTER Guitar Slide and ran it through the Shallow Waters Pedal by Fairfield Circuitry, creating a chorus-like effect when blended with the Neve DI signal. This is the first guitar we sampled and it has its own wacky character that definitely makes it fun to play, and a unique addition to your sample library.

  • Absolutely incredible instrument

Everything about this is incredible. It sounds astonishing, the GUI is probably the best GUI I have seen so far, it is very creative and fun to look at. It sounds incredible, it is sampled well. And that for free... Absolutely amazing!!

  • A fun pluck!

This is a very fun pluck that I'd say it sounds as if you combined a piano and a guitar sound. The result is pretty interesting, and combined with the nicely designed GUI you will be able to find a very fun sound for your compositions. The randomize button is again a very nice addition, but you will also find 3 well tuned presets to get you going.

I find this to be a little noisier than usual, especially in the attack on the Shallow Water FX, and the sustain of the BAE DI. With that said, a little bit of splosh will make you completely forget about that!
