The story
So this is one of a number of experiments that I’ve been making with my Fender Stratocaster guitar, loaned to me by my brother. I began using a bow on my guitar when I was working on my first feature length film and enjoyed the vast array of sounds that I could create.
I am not lucky enough to have access to live string players so I feel that this is a way that I can augment samples effectively to add more mojo, duende or soul to my pieces. Similarly inspired by a lot of the Labs instruments that I constantly find myself using, this particular patch is good when distortion, reverb & delay are added.
I recorded three round robins to give the instrument more unpredictability as I found I would often produce harmonics and harsh scrapes when using the bow.
Hopefully it’s as useful to you as it has been to me. More on the way!

Amazing character and realism here.
I cant believe i missed out on this library until now. Im a guitarist who loves post rock and ambient guitar and this library is just perfect. It has this kind of scratchy metallic character which gives it such realism and theres also multiple round robins. This is going to work so well for me on my kind of post rock styled album im working on. Im so happy i came across this. Nothing negative to say about this. Its really stunning. This is such an organic and characterful library. Definitely one of my favorite guitar libraries on here
Really great cello like sounds!
Wow! This is a really fun sample pack! Sometimes, you want to use solo cello, but you're just left wishing for something that doesn't sound quite like a cello. This is the ticket. It's dark, kind of brooding, a bit rough around the edges, but all in a good way. The addition of the round robins add a ton of realism and randomness that really makes this library special and playable. Everything about this is just right. It's not a sound you're going to use on every project, but it's a sound that's going to really shine when you do need it. Fabulous!
Folk horror vibes
That's what I got. This is a great sounding patch with amazing character and a unique sound signature that you won't easily find. The samping is good, and the round robins makes the experience very realistic, although it could benefit with some slight noise reduction. It really gives me these folk horror feeling, but I'm sure it's not restricted to only that.
Oh man.. that low end!
The low-end of this instrument is great for making textures, and gets even more fun when you put it through distortion plugins with some reverb (especially preset 1). There's a lot of likeness to electric cello textures here, and actually reminds me a lot of some of the textures in Spitfire's Contemporary Composer's Toolkit. I really like this one, and it's a great contribution to the community!
