The story
I recently saw a concert for newly composed contemporary works. One of the stand out pieces for me was for piano and soprano.
Near the end of the piece the soprano sang into the piano while the sustain pedal was held down.
It created a beautiful decaying sound with the sound of a choir.
The Piano Choir library is my attempt to recreate that sound. I sang into a piano with the sustain pedal down, and processed the sounds.

Not haunting, very beautiful!
Very nicely captured piano synth patch. I love the warm texture of this library!
Pretty dark and almost too muddy
There are some interesting characteristics about this one. The samples seem good, but in the context of a mix, they might lean towards the muddy territory, so you have to keep that in mind in order to have the best out of this istrument. The range is kind of limited and the panning in most -if not all- patches seems to be off towards the left, so you need to keep that in mind as well. Other than that it's a very barebones patch that offers a nice texture and character and will definitely spark your imagination
Ghostly resonances.
A really interesting idea resulting in a ghostly "choir like" sound with metallic resonances from the strings. The overtones mean chords don't always sound as you'd expect but I think that's part of the charm. Dystopian and slightly menacing... Interesting...
Other pads i prefer but still cool
This is a pretty nice sounding ambient pad with a vocal like characteristic. The Lows and highs seem to be rolled off which leaves a very mid heavy sound. If i were to use this, i would probably increase the attack to give it a more gradual fade in. The concept and idea behind this instrument is pretty creative but for me personally there are alot of similar instruments i would prefer to this one that just seem to have more character, depth and flavor. Nothing against this instrument though. Its just hard to keep everything on the drive when we have so many awesome free instruments, especially similar ambient pads
A little bit quiet
Yes, I think I will be able to use this sample pack in my ambient creations... a little on the quiet side and I have to boost by 12dB to match the level of my other Decent Sampler libraries... a great concept though :-
