The story
After buying a DX7 from a guy I met on a business course 25 years ago, I have remained blown away with the ‘E.Piano 1’ patch for all this time, and still smile every time I play it.
This sampled Kontakt instrument is that very patch played through a stereo guitar effects modelling board, a Line 6 AMPLIFi FX100.

Gotta confess, I played "Wind Beneath My Wings"
Such an iconic sound. It was obviously meant to replicate a Rhodes, but this sound became legendary on its own. Yes, it's attached to a specific period in history in pop music, but let's face it, what's old is new again, and judging by recent hits, sounds of the 80's seems to be coming back into vogue. This is really well sampled, and I could pretty easily mistake this for playing a DX7. I still have a TX816 and played this sound side by side with the original just now for fun. It is a bit different when you hear them side by side, but honestly, in any other situation, you'd think you were hearing a DX7. Well done!
Pure Throwback Vibes...
This richly sampled Dx7 E.Piano sound gives you instant late 80s vibes. It's a sound that's been overused in pop music since, but still has a magic quality to it that everyone loves. Bravo!
Handy
Simple but effective. It gives me the impression of a 'standard' FM E-Piano and it can be used anywhere I need one. And it does can. Also there are not much GUI controls in the DS version but that's what I like. It does not need more.
A DX7 classic
Its a well known sound, but sampled very nicely. With some effects this is a very useful and versatile sound to have.
Awesome sound but not really useful for me
Although this is undoubtedly a classic sound with alot of history behind it and a well sampled one, ive personally never been into this sound much. I prefer rhodes and keyboards that have more character, attack and mechanical noise. My personal feelings aside this is a great sample of the instrument and is a really handy one to have around. I know alot of people really like this sound and its a really easy way to just pull it up and jam. Although i probably won't use this i think alot of people are gonna really like this
