The story
I had a flute that I bought in Hawaii in the 9th grade sitting in my room, and I decided to try and sample it. I had recently bought the “Archetype: Plini” amp sim from Neural DSP so I thought I would record the samples through the “Cumulonimrod” preset, a slightly splashy atmospheric patch, and see what happened. The result is a atmospheric pad with a slightly varying timbre depending on where you play. Hope you enjoy!

Beautiful tone but a few issues
For a first instrument great job. This is really well recorded and played. The natural breathiness and slight vibrato adds so much character. I love using these breathy woodwind textures in my music. My two issues with this are 1. The sample starts sound a little un natural to me, it would be nice if you captured the full performance of the breath. It sounds like its happening too fast. The other issue, as mentioned by others is the intonation. Maybe thats just how this instrument is which could be cool on its own but could be a nightmare to blend in with other instrumentation. If you're not familiar with the process of using the melodyne plugin i think that would be a skill well worth investing some time into. Apart from that this is a nice first attempt at sampling
A very breathy and pitchy wind
... which can be good in some odd and creepy scenarios! It might seem a little limited though, but I can see it having its playability value heavily increased by a few touchups. While they are sampled well, they are a little bass heavy, and the samples last incredibely long. They have some intonation issues, but that's kind of the magic of it!
A great first attempt at sampling
This is a great first attempt at sampling. The thing that is keeping this sample pack from being great is the intonation. The sample on D4 is around 40 cents flat give or take a bit, which renders the sample pack less useable than it might have otherwise been. I hope this samplist keeps working and growing and creating new samples for our great community.
