The story

Lyre Lyre is carefully sampled instrument that adds a touch of realism to any mix. It was created by tuning each string to the nearest chromatic notes and performing three round robins at three velocity levels.

The range has been extended slightly above and below its natural pitch to give you the freedom and convenience of playing it in any key. It is finger-plucked with a long sustain that can be released early with the use of a short midi note. Use Lyre Lyre for melodic passages or chordal accompaniments.

  • Lyre Lyre This is FIRE

I stopped by PIANOBOOK this morning to take a quick look at some of the New KONTAKT Instruments that people are sharing and on my "Voyage Around The Greek Islands", I stumbled upon Lyre Lyre.

From the first few notes that I played I knew immediately that this was a GREAT Instrument. I can already hear many uses for it on my projects.

I’m always looking for a Unique Ambient Sound and Yes, Lyre Lyre does that beautifully as Pedal Points or Pads but I discovered a REAL BONUS when I used it as a Melodic Double to an Acoustic Instrument. It adds a wonderful depth to Guitar as a unison double and it creates a haunting quality in octave unisons.

Lyre Lyre is a sound right from Mount Olympus or even from Heaven itself. I'm surprised that Apollo let Lyre Lyre out of his hands long enough for it to be sampled, so that it could be used by us mere mortals to make music.

Beautiful Interface, Easy To Use and Works Seamlessly with KONTAKT 7 and CUBASE 12.

THANK YOU “JS Composition” for creating this Beautiful Instrument !!! Looking forward to using it on future recording projects.

  • It's a lyre...

...a simple lyre and I'll never need another. Thanks! Included reverb and delay sounds great up too.
