The story
The Synth Orchestra is my 2-month experimental project. I am still hesitant over the results but I finally decided to just get it out there. I took the eq profiles of orchestral instruments and tried to recreate it with a synthesizer to give a sort of SCIENCE-FICTIONish tone to it.
I have compiled some of my best samples into one sample library and I hope you like it.
Expression and Dynamics are controlled by Velocity to enable 2-hand playing.
THANK YOU!

Plenty of synth...
As far as synth orchestras go, this one went a little bit too far towards the synth realm in my opinion. I would've loved to hear a sound slightly closer to what an orchestra would typically sound like, but that's just me. It's put together very well and has a wide variety of synths to choose from. Great work!
A very cool synth bundle!
These sounds remind me of old keyboard instruments made for kids, and I love them. It really features sounds that represent the entire orchestra: Piano, Violins, Violas, Celli, Basses, Horns, Trumpets, Trombones, Flutes, and percussion, including two mallets in the keyswitches, that unfortunately are way too low on the keybed.
My main issue is that the low velocity volume is extremely low, so sometimes that you want to play smoothly, you end up with near-zero volume. Even if there are no further controls to shape the sound at all, it is a very cool pack, if you are interested in this kind of sound.
Marmite Orchestra
I can appreciate the work that must have gone into this - it probably sound like an easy idea at the start - and I think on the whole Andrew has succeeded. I particularly liked the brass sound - very Blade Runner. I can definitely hear the sonic characteristics of the original orchestral instruments on the synth samples. The problem is, with the exception of the brass I'm not really sure I like the actual synth sounds. But could be just a personal taste thing. I can equally see it could be a really useful selection of sounds for the right person or the right project. Keep up the good work Andrew.
Not Crazy about these
For my personal taste and style these sounds don't really inspire me. I hope others that are more into glitchy very digital sounding synthesis will get a-lot out of these but for me they just don't provide the character and warmth that i look for in my instruments. There are a good amount of patches which is nice and the overall concept and implementation is interesting and fun but its just not for me. I hope others enjoy.
Fun concept and fun sounds!
This sample library has a lot of fun synth sounds. They are well recorded, playable, and well edited. The attacks are pretty slow on everything but the Percussion sounds, so don't expect to play any fast passages, but as standalone synth sounds, they are still very usable. This is an excellent sampling effort.
